  6. These technologies allow one to edit Gestalt running actively on the computer. It was designed so that Apple CEOs, ever so fleeting, could make technology decisions from the comfort of their desk.

  8. It also has the practical ability of instantly upgrading your computer. Need another processor, just add one!

  10. Install "Steve" into the Extensions folder. It is a FBA. It is scriptable (skanky!). Disassemble its AETE if you dare.

Then run "Outline Table Demo PPC" (yeah, we just smacked around some PowerPlant demo code). It will allow you to edit some of the Gestalts selectors we had to time to document. Oh, just read the source and figure out how to add more Gestalt selectors your self. That sort of attitude worked for UNIX.

  14. Then run something like Gestalt.APPL to check your features.
